I would 100% love to see Bongi get a start up top next to Yeboah. The glimpses that we got of that last season were fantastic. They had a really good chemistry up top.
My one thought in Bongi though is i don’t think he possesses the ball enough. Rarely even on the wing does the ball come to him and he moves it. Instead he shows up in space and makes chaos.
Bongi - is getting comfortable in that wing back role. He looked good in week 2 and week 3 was better still.
From the commentary in week 2 it sounds like he accepted that a regular right wing or midfield RM attacker role wasn't in the coaches plans and he wasn't the target man compared to other options so to get time has to play that role. 2-3 really brilliant moments getting forward, and was solid on the defense side. I think he has definitely won hearts and minds of fans and hopefully coaches.
Hi Wes! I was the only one at the postgame press conference, and while I didn't ask about lineup changes postgame, I did ask last week. Without belaboring all the quotes, it's worth remembering that in two weeks the Loons are going to be missing their internationals, so they've got to have an eye on having players (Díaz, for example) fit and ready for the Galaxy game.
Kinda nice when three of your back 5 didn’t lose a single ball in the defensive half.

I don’t think he possesses the ball enough for that striker partner i mean
